Week 26: Another week, another buzz :)

The invites are out for the shower that my Mom gets to throw! I’m looking for a caterer right now. More info will be added to the site about all the upcoming events soon.

The nursery is coming along! Most of the sewing got started this week for the nursery - thanks to Paulette (you know I didn’t do it :)). It will be painted in about 4 weeks. I’m just trying to get it cleaned and organized right now. I’ll get some more pics up soon.

I’m trying hard to stay in shape! I have been walking with my friend Amanda, who is also pregnant. Our goal is about 9 miles a week. We are also signing up for Prenatal Water Aerobics - should be fun! It starts next week. I’ll try to get some “bump” pics taken soon.

Baby Girl is very active these days and is about 13 inches long and weighs almost 2 pounds!

The baby’s eyes — which have been closed for the past few months — are now beginning to open and blink. The baby’s brain-wave activity is also kicking in, which means she can not only hear noises but can now also respond to them. The “books” say that she is able to see what’s going on now (unfortunately the view isn’t all that exciting) and that if I shine a flashlight at my stomach she should kick in response (as in: “Get that light out of my eyes!”). I haven’t tried it yet - she kicks plenty as it is already!
