Growing like a little weed

Addison is about to be 8 weeks old, so I took her to be weighed yesterday and she is an amazing 9lbs, 10oz.  That’s a gain of almost 4 lbs in the short time she has been at home!  She gains about an ounce a day!  Crazy, I know.  By the time we hit the island, she will be 10 lbs!

 

Speaking of the island, the trip is planned.  We leave

Lubbock bright and early on Saturday and arrive in the DC-area that afternoon.  We will be staying with some family (that I haven’t seen in a while-YAY) that night and will head on over to Tangier on Sunday afternoon.  We will be around until the next Monday.  I’m really looking forward to a break – work has been crazy busy for me.  I am a little nervous about such a long flight, but

Addison is great, so hopefully she will enjoy it.  She loves to be on the go and to check out her surroundings and people watch.
